I will be talking about the podcast, “The Editor”. This podcast held many elements that allowed for the listener to be more invested and interested in the topic being talked about. It started out with Robin giving us information about himself and his background. It gave us as listeners a good idea as to what actually happened and made it clear so we weren’t wondering throughout the entire time. I really liked how it was conversational and easy to follow and understand. Due to Robin’s voice actually being on this, and actually hearing him, the podcast automatically has a sense of uniqueness. This is an element that keeps listeners involved and invested. It also made it interesting to hear the narrator change from the man to women. It gave a change to the set. I also feel as though the footage of when Robin and Mark met was a great touch to the podcast. It made it feel like you were there with them and were feeling the same things they were. It was a great sense of imagery when listening. The tone of this podcast was kind of uplifting to a point. He described how his mindset was fixed in his early life but how it changed as he was in prison and started reading books. He was always told he couldn’t do it and couldn’t make it through, but he proved them wrong. He no longer had to read to feel connected to the outside world because he is now living it.
