To prepare for this essay I used the timeline and the different colored post it notes for different topics. I feel as though, because it has been so long since elementary and middle school, I didn’t remember much to write on either. If I had a smaller time guideline it might have been a little bit easier. Next time, I am going to try different techniques (like the web), to experiment and see which technique will help me best with my writing.

 

My revision process was one that was familiar, but also had its own unique touches. I never had 2 peer reviews go through my essay and leave detailed comments. I believe that this was very helpful for me to see what my peers were thinking about when reading my paper. I would consider this process a very beneficial tool to my overall final essay. I also had some of my friends outside of class read through my paper and leave comments based on what they felt I should add or take out. I did this so I could hear comments from someone who is new to the topic and hasn’t done work on it themselves. This helped me with filling in some gaps in my story to make it more clear and so it could be easier to understand. I didn’t really feel there were any cons to this process. I believe that without these techniques in the revision process, my paper wouldn’t be at the quality I feel it is at today.
